Badminton Forehand and backhand drives
A drive is used to aim and power hit at a birdie when standing on center court, and when the birdie is too low to smash. It is very low to the net and it is hit out in front of the body. This is common in doubles, the objective is to hit the birdie straight and flat over the net, limiting the opponent from attacking.
Common drive mistakes
Players sometimes balance their weight when swinging, which makes them lose control and power. A proper drive should be executed standing firmly on both feet, with a short and swift stroke to achieve maximum power and control with the least amount of effort.
